    I received my Frame last week and it is running firmware v 1.1. I have it connected to my iPhone 5 as instructed and I get text, phone, and calendar notifications.

    I also noticed that I'm getting some push notifications from other apps. When I first connected my watch, I was getting notifications from Words with Friends and a couple other games/apps for about a day. Then they all stopped and I haven't been able to get them working again with disconnecting watch, resetting watch, etc. The text, phone, and calendar notifications still work.

    Should I be able to receive notifications from other apps? If not, how did I get them to start with? I would really like these to work too!

    Thanks!

    hi kebel21,

    i noticed that I am able to receive any kind of notifications IF i go into settings / notifications / then go into the app that i want to get notifications from, re-toggle the 3 selections (example: my facebook is set to have a banner style alert. so i go to settings/notifications/facebook, then click on something other than the banner option, then reselect the banner option). The notification will then be pushed over to your phone. It seems as if the "re-toggling" will trigger the notification to be pushed over to the watch.

    BUT, once your watch disconnects, you have to do all the re-toggling again for every app that you want to get pushed to your watch after everything connects again.

    hopefully that wasn't too confusing of an explanation.

    quick summary: go to settings/nofications then retoggle the alert style to get the watch to alert you with the pushed notification.

    Hi yellowxboy,

    Maybe you could help me too. I have an iPhone5 and so far the only notification I got from it was one time when it has charged.
    The watch firmware is 1.1, bluetooth is on, the iPhone manager notification toggles are all on, I can control music using the watch, iPhone is updated to the most recent iOS 6.0.2, and I re-booted the watch several times but nothign helps and I do not get any basic notification (phone call, SMS, etc).

    I tried to change the notification settings on iPhone, like you suggested by switching Alert, but no luck.

    Thank you!

    Just wanted to chime in here. I just got my FRAME watch and have been playing with it over the past two days. I read this post and got excited about the watch being able to alert many different types of notifications. So far I can only receive these: phone charged, sms. I followed the steps described above at least 15 different times and combos, and I still can't get other notifications (twitter, email, reminders, Facebook) to show up on the watch. Any ideas? By the way I'm running the latest version of the app from the app store and updated the firmware to the latest version via the Firmware updater (1.1 I believe, looked for 1.2 couldn't find it).

    strange. Unfortunenetly i have an iPhone4s so I am not sure if there could be something different with the iPhone5 (which i doubt because there hasn't been a huge flood of complaints on the kickstarter page).

    lets start fresh:
    reboot metawatch (holding light button until reboot)
    reboot iphone (holding power button, swipe to turn off, then turn on)
    make sure bluetooth is on (both the watch and phone)
    open the iPhone metawatch app, press connect

    from here, both the watch and iphone should be in sync/connected. if not, there is a problem and repeat the steps above until it connects.

    for caller-id to work, on your iPhone: settings/bluetooth/metawatch (click on the blue arrow) and enable "Show Notification" (ON)

    then go back to the settings page, go to Notifications and manually toggle the apps that you want pushed to your watch like i described in reply#2.

    the important thing is that you need to RE-toggle the alerts. Every time the watch disconnects, you have to connect the watch and RE-toggle all your alerts (regardless of the alert being on).

    hopefully this helps.

    @yellowxboy

    Seems like I missed to set the Show Notification ON in the iPhone bluetooth settings for the metawatch. Now I started getting at least call and sms notifications.

    Thank you!

    Yellowxboy's instructions are exactly what I used and I'm getting all of the notifications that I toggle. Attached is an example of a notification from Words with Friends.

    I had two random disconnects today when my watch was next to my phone - not sure why that happened. As yellowxboy points out, I had to retoggle all of the notifications that I wanted (except text, phone, and calendar which always work).

    On a side note, since I'm sending almost all my notifications to my watch, it's draining the battery faster. I'm getting a little over three days usage like this, using ~30% watch battery a day.

    @kebel21,

    yeah i actually disconnected my watch/phone and just enabled email notifications. the vibration from the watch is draining the battery quickly. wish there was a way to turn that off and still get notifications.

    my watch disconnects when i am uploading data, such as a photo to instagram or video to facebook. really strange and happens every time.
